Tips for completing beneficiary information in Online Banking/Mobile App

 

*Transfers to Credit Card and Loan accounts will be rejected automatically

Instant transfers are forwarded to the payee's bank within 3 minutes of the transfer being submitted, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. 

 

If you’ve recently tried to make an online transfer to another local bank or credit union account and it was returned, here're tips to help you complete the required fields correctly.

 


Standard transfers

Standard transfers** are forwarded to the payee's bank within 1-3 business days of the transfer being submitted.

Transfers sent before the submission deadline are forwarded to the beneficiary's bank* within 1 business day. Transfers sent after the submission deadline are forwarded to the beneficiary's bank* within 2 business days. 

*There is no guarantee that the payee/beneficiary's account will be credited on the same day funds are forwarded to their bank. 

**Maximum of  USD500K or KYD400K can be transferred in one transaction | Maximum  daily transfer depends on your limit within Online Banking. 

 

Transfers from USD accounts must be going to a USD account and the same applies for transfers from KYD accounts, these must go to a KYD account.

Royal Bank of Canada (RBC)

Tips: 

  • Beneficiary Account Number: Include the 5-digit branch code & the 7 digit account number - Eg: 069751234567
    • Where 06975 (RBC Cayman transit) + 1234567 (RBC account number)    

 

 

Please ask the beneficiary to share their correct account number and branch details as displayed on their bank's platform to ensure higher success rates

Bank of Nova Scotia (BNS)

Tips:

  • Needs to include the 5-digit branch code as part of the account number - Eg: 10785123456 - where 10785 (Scotiabank Cayman transit) + 1234567 (Scotia account number)   
  • No zeros are needed between the transit code and account number

 

 

Please ask the beneficiary to share their correct account number and branch details as displayed on their bank's platform to ensure higher success rates

CNB

Tips:

  • Account number starts with 01 or 02
  • No transit code is required in the account number field
